Q + A

Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?

Both the ceremony and reception will take place at Hotel Maya. The ceremony will be held outdoors in Jardin de Palmeras. The reception will follow in the Miramar Ballroom, which is an indoor space, above Jardin de Palmeras and accessible by stairway or elevator.

What time should I arrive?

Help us get the party started as scheduled! We recommend you arrive by 4:15, to ensure everyone is seated on time. The ceremony will start promptly at 5:00 PM. We will have welcome drinks and entertainment upon arrival.

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Guests can park in the Hotel Maya Parking lot. Parking is $12 or valet may be available.

What will the weather be like ?

Expect mild, pleasant weather in Long Beach in late May: daytime highs typically in the mid‑60s to mid‑70s (°F) with cooler evenings and ocean breeze. Dress in light layers—a shawl or light jacket is a good idea for after sunset. If you tend to run warm, lighter fabrics and breathable shoes will be comfortable during the ceremony and photos.

What happens after the ceremony ?

Once the ceremony ends, cocktail hour will begin in the Jardin de Palmeras where guests can enjoy appetizers, cocktails, and light entertainment. After cocktail hour, we’ll invite everyone upstairs to the Miramar Ballroom for dinner, toasts, and dancing.

Are kids welcome?

While we love your little ones, we request the reception be adults-only—please make childcare arrangements so you can celebrate with us.

Can I bring a plus one?

Our celebration is RSVP only — we can accommodate only the names printed on your invitation. If your invitation includes a plus one, please RSVP for them; otherwise we kindly ask that you not bring additional guests.

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Yes — we have a hotel block at Hotel Maya, a newly renovated property with ocean and Queen Mary views. Please visit the Travel/Hotel Accommodations Tab or scan the QR code on your invitation to book. We strongly recommend reserving as soon as possible since this is a holiday weekend and Hotel Maya may sell out. The Residence Inn by Marriott, next to Hotel Maya, is another nearby option.

When is the RSVP Deadline?

Thank you in advance for your RSVPs before April 12th, 2026. You can simply RSVP right here on our wedding website.

Will there be food and drinks during cocktail hour ?

After the ceremony, cocktail hour will feature passed hors d’oeuvres and an open bar. Enjoy a curated selection of wine, beer, and a few signature cocktails as you mingle and toast with us.

Will dinner be served at the reception?

Yes — dinner will be served. We’ll have a full sit‑down meal with plated entrees.

Will there be vegan, gluten free, or special dietary options?

Yes — please contact us ahead of time so we can accommodate any dietary restrictions or allergies. When you RSVP, note your needs or email us and we’ll make sure there are vegan, gluten‑free, and other options available.

Where are you registered?

We are so grateful you’ll be celebrating with us. Your presence is the greatest gift—however, if you’d like to contribute, we’ve set up a Honeymoon Fund and a New Home Fund to help us create new memories together! See Gifts tab for details. Thank you for your love and support!

How do I get to the wedding venue?

We suggest entering the address into your GPS navigation. Take Shoreline Drive exit, then make a right on Queens Way. Then merge across to the right and continue to take Harbor Scenic Drive towards the boat launch, past Residence Inn, then to Hotel Maya on the left. There are signs pointing towards Hotel Maya, but can be a little hard to find.

Still have questions?

Please reach out to us via cell phone, text, or email with any questions. On the day of the wedding, please contact Vivian Cho, our day-of wedding planner @ 562-841-0922 for immediate assistance—we’ll be getting ready and may not be able to respond.
